I don’t care if it needs help, it’s $500 for a V8 90s Lexus. That’s why not money. If it were closer to home or I had a way to tow it, I’d be on my way to get it now.

I want to, but I need to figure out how to get it home. And then I’d just be going down a rabbit hole after I do. I’m going to want to put a 5-speed in, and if I get a 5-speed I’m going to want an LSD, and if I do that I might as well boost it, and so on and so on until I’ve spent enough money that I could have just bought the 1JZ Supra that Japanese Classics has for sale.

Why is it $650 in the title, but $500 in the description? Is that some sort of mind game where he’s expecting people to expect a $650 price to be talkable down to $500? Seems like overthinking it to me.
Still, I’m no Toyota/Lexus expert, but a no-spark condition could be as simple as a crank sensor... I wanna say NP, as this seems like a TRUE “mechanic’s special”. (That phrase is too often applied to hopeless junk that needs too many repairs.)

I think it was originally $650 and then he edited it in the description but not the title. It was listed three times, the last of which said $800. Either way, yes, definitely NP and I’m simultaneously thanking and cursing myself for not having a way to get it home.

The dash rebuild is worth $200 since the 90s high tech needles almost always cease to function.

These kinds of cars killed me when I was looking for a new car. If I could tow it I couldn’t got a cheap car that possibly needed as little as spark plugs and a battery to run again.
Probably should’ve looked into renting a Home Depot truck and Uhaul trailer to get one of them.

Dammit, why do you post things like this that are 45 minutes away from me a week before Christmas?
